Runtastic Heart Rate PRO App Reviews

Pretty spot on for my heart rate. Nice to have this type of app with you at all times to verify your heart rate.

This app was given away for free on Valentines Day by Runtastic. Im hoping that was so they could get a wide enough swath of reviews to start working out the numerous bugs. The instructions tell you to lightly touch the camera and flash lenses. If you do that it doesnt work at all. I have to hold my finger half an inch from it for the app to even decide it wants to start detecting heart rate. And of course that means my finger is shaking if only lightly, which means it never makes it through the measurement cycle, which annoys the crud out of me, which means that if and when I finally get it to work my heart beat is elevated out of annoyance. Not the kind of work out I was looking for. Thanks, but no thanks. Ive got better things to do with my time.

Clean interface. Very accurate. Just what they advertised!

Got the first app (Runtastic Pro) by accident and as I started to use it, I found it very practical and intuitive. I ran into a minor problem on my phone but the support was immediate and on target with the solution (re-install).

I like this app! Its easy to use and seems to be accurate as I compare with my Fitbit charge HR and the heart rate are almost always in sync.

I did a search for the most accurate heart rate monitors. This one was in the top 10 for accuracy. It seems accurate when it works. Most times, it states that its detecting HR and measuring HR. Then it gives the "error" message instructing me on how to use the app. Also, it doesnt seem to have an athletes setting. My RHR is around 46. This seems to cause the app to glitch. I

Dont know what the logic is but its pretty accurate. Nice app.

Please add the option to disable the annoying BEEPing while measuring the heart rate.

Upgraded to iPhone 6+ and does not work well. Too hard to get ginger just right for a reading. When I do light not covered and blinds everyone. Other apps do better job. My previous 5 star rating is below. --------------- does what is says. Great for checking heart before getting up. Every runner should know your base line resting heart rate. This app will do it. Wish pop up adds for Runtastic were removed from pro version. An add is an add. We pay for pro to not deal with them!
